Men's Team Championship to France

Hungary's Sándor Dubi beat France's Guillaume Sicart on Sunday's Men's
Individual Championship. Both sides fouhgt strongly and the battle were
thrilling and even. Wesley Haeke from Belgium and Hanns-Peter Herr from
Germany took the bronze medals.

On Saturday, Men's Team Championship went again to France that beat Germany at
the finals. Spain and Great Britain were placed third.

Ladies' Team Championship to Germany, Finlad took bronze

Weekend's best news from Finnish point of view was when Finland's Ladies' Team
took the bronze medal on Friday. Ladies' Team Championship went to Germany and
the other favourite France took the second prize. Bronze medals went to
Finland and Italy.

Ladies' Individual Championship went also to Germany when Susanne Aoki took
the first prize and left her fellow countryman Wiebeke Röhrbein to the second
place. Pronze medals went to Hungary's Barbara Király and to France's Pauline
Stolarz.

Juniors' Team Championship to France

On Friday, France won the Juniors' Team Champonship after a strong
battle against Sweden. Germany's and Poland's national teams were placed
third. In the play-offs, Finland was defeated by Belgium and didn't get
through.

Juniors' Individual Championship went to Spanish Markel Arregui, silver to
Poland's Bartlomiej Gromul and the bronze medals went to France's Simon Cohen
and to Serbia's Milos Petrovic.

The 22. European Kendo Championship was the largest ever: almost 400
competitors from 35 countries attended the three day event.
The next Europian Championship will be hosted by Hungary.
